Wood Dale, Ill., March 30, 2009 - Cherokee Equipment, Inc. of Washington Township, New Jersey, was recently recognized as the 2008 Earth Friendly Products Proline "Manufacturer Representative Firm of the Year."  Accepting the award was Vince Marchetti, president and owner of Cherokee Equipment, Inc.  The firm represents the Earth Friendly Products Proline in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, metropolitan New York, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C, and northern Virginia.

Cleaning Product Manufacturer Recognized by the EPA for Its Environmentally Friendly Formulations

Garden Grove - January 12, 2009 - The Environmental Protection Agency has officially recognized Earth Friendly Products (www.ecos.com) for its commitment to the development and production of environmentally friendly household and commercial cleaning supplies. The company's Design for the Environment (DfE) certification has now been publicly acknowledged with the addition of Earth Friendly Products to the EPA's list of "Formulator Partners and Recognized Products." Such a designation affirms that the DfE has commended Earth Friendly for its leadership in designing products that are good for both its business and the environment.

Visitors to the EPA's Design for the Environment site will find Earth Friendly Products listed under the Consumer Cleaning Products category. The specific Earth Friendly Products that have been federally recognized as environmentally conscious are Dishmate Grapefruit, Orange Plus Ready to Use, Parsley Plus, Toilet Kleener, Wave Auto Dishwasher Gel, Wave Jet, Window Kleener with Lavender and Window Kleener with Vinegar. These items, however, aren't the only eco-conscious ones Earth Friendly Products manufactures.

Eco-Friendly Cleaning Product Manufacturer Recognized by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

In October 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency named Earth Friendly Products a Champion in the Design for the Environment Program's Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI). This enterprising effort "recognizes environmental leaders who voluntarily commit to the use of safer surfactants. Safer surfactants are surfactants that break down quickly to non-polluting compounds and help protect aquatic life in both fresh and salt water."
Those companies named as Champions in SDSI's Product Formulator category have "demonstrated the use of only safer surfactants in products" and have "documented a strategy for ensuring that only safer surfactants are used in products."
